The Big Lunch NI: Get Involved Where You Live
Take part in a FULL Month of Community with The Big Lunch NI this June!
Say cheers to volunteers, connect with neighbours and friends, fundraise or use lunch breaks for acts of kindness.
The Big Lunch is all about celebrating community connections and getting to know one another a little better – and this year, there are more reasons than ever to get together as The Big Lunch kicks off the Month of Community.
It’s an opportunity to bring our neighbourhoods closer, give back, and shine a light on the amazing communities we live in, to give community spirit a boost as we head into summer.
How do I get involved?
Taking part in The Big Lunch has never been easier. People can join in with very simple acts of community kindness – have a cuppa with a neighbour, use your lunch break for good or go a bit further and host a virtual or social distanced lunch, say cheers to your volunteers or get creative in the community.
The idea is that by starting simple, all sorts of friendships, ideas and projects can come out of a Big Lunch. It gets people together and talking — and with a few inspired folk, it can lead to people doing more within their community, and tackling the issues that matter to them most.
Connected communities are stronger communities, and together we are more equipped to face the local and global challenges ahead of us.
Use #MonthofCommunity on social media to share the events you host, we’d love to see how you choose to celebrate your community and take steps towards the future.
