Kith and Kin Financial Well-Being

Tell us a bit about yourself and/or your organisation.

I’m the Founder and Director of Kith & Kin Financial Wellbeing Social Enterprise – we deliver financial education & advice programmes in the community & workplace. We passionately believe that if people are given free access to financial education and advice they will make better financial decisions, which directly will improve their mental & physical wellbeing.

How well have you/your organisation adapted to the pandemic?

We have adapted to the pandemic by providing all our programmes online, so we now have Financial Wellbeing Webinars via Zoom etc. We also run financial 1-1 clinics online and we have a Financial Wellbeing Module, that anyone can complete free of charge.

How well have people/organisations in your area collaborated throughout the pandemic?

We have been reaching out to other financial organisations to enable us to signpost people to organisations which provide other services, for example, debt advice – all free of charge.

What key needs are becoming apparent and/or are likely to arise this year?

Our key needs for this year will be making our online material attractive so that Employers / Employees & Community Groups want to register with us. I feel people are becoming Zoom tired!

So perhaps we need to look at other options and ways of interacting with people in the workplace and in the community.

ASK: What do you need, right now, that the members of Community Network NI and/or the wider community may be able to help you with?

We always need IT help, as we are looking to build a Financial Module for 16-25 yr olds. We also need to build a good CRM system.

OFFER: What support are you currently offering and are you open to members of Community Network NI and/or the wider community making contact?

We currently are offering a free registration for employers, which enables any company to add our services to their employees, so staff can contact us directly for financial help.

We also have a 20% discount offer on our Financial Wellbeing Webinars, normal cost £250, which is open to all Community Network NI members.
