Community Calling for Volunteer Telephone Befrienders in Carrickfergus area
Can you spare a few hours each week to help older people and vulnerable adults?
About Good Morning Carrickfergus
Good Morning Carrickfergus offers a befriending service for older persons and vulnerable adults through the provision of a free telephone support facility and help to older people and vulnerable adults (with mental health, physical, sensory and/or learning disabilities) living in the Carrickfergus, Greenisland and Whitehead areas.
The benefit is practical assistance for older persons and vulnerable adults to ensure that they are not left subject to the issue of social isolation and to improve their health, mental and physical and personal safety. The service checks daily on a client’s health, well-being and safety has prevented those at risk from becoming more dependent, ill or falling into poor mental health.
