Gary Davidson – Member in Focus #19
This week we speak to Gary Davidson for our #memberinfocus feature: “The Challenges and Opportunities of 2020”.
Q1. If you could describe the year 2020 in one word, what would it be?
Q2. What was happening in your life when the pandemic struck?
I was just about to purchase a new house, which I’m still waiting to be built.
Q3. Why and when did you decide to get involved with community-based support?
I’ve always been involved with multiple charities, passionate about giving back from a young age. My mum recently had breast cancer & I’d always go out of my way to help others as they helped her get through that terrible time in her life.
Q4. What is the biggest challenge you have faced since the world went into lockdown?
Not being able to hug my mother since March is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do this year.
Q5. Are you excited about any opportunities that have arisen this year?
I live in the world of tech & more people are embracing the world of startups. I think next year we will see an influx of new entrepreneurs from all backgrounds emerge.
Q6. How are things looking for the remainder of 2020?
Personally, my new home is nearly built and I hope my family can go into 2021 with a fresh start.
